ENTHEOS ; IN GOD VIA CREATIVITY

ENTHEOS ; IN GOD VIA CREATIVITY

INGA ENTHEOS is an original music project based out of Duluth, MN.

Front woman, Inga Weis, has crafted the current repertoire over the last four years. With a Nordic inspired blend of rock and folk, Inga Entheos seeks to steward a fun-loving and heart-felt musical landscape that is open to all ages.

During live performances, you may see Inga include visual arts such as painting or dance, while the rest of the band continues to jam. Her background in contemporary movement embraces the integration of artistic mediums. The lyrics often speak of divine and unifying concepts. This hones in on the Greek meaning of Entheos: in God, via creativity.

Inga Entheos is here to uplift with its cathartic musical language and to encourage creativity among witnesses and performers alike.

MEET THE BAND

VOCALS

INGA WEIS

Inga has been singing professionally since childhood with her parents who were traveling musicians. She gigs all around the midwest with several bands: One original funk band, Soul Sherpa, a funk cover band called Lake City Smokin Section, and with her mother in a duo called Lioness. She has been song-writing throughout all of these years and here she brings her original music to the stage with a full band. She studied contemporary dance at Luther College, sang with the vocal jazz group for four years, and was a finalist in the Big Top Idol singing competition.

GUITAR

RICHARD WEIS

Richard is a classically trained guitarist of over 10 years. He was a dedicated concert, marching, and jazz band trumpet player in high school. More recently he has become a songwriter and performer with Inga. They started gigging together as a duo called Ingy Enrichie and have expanded in the last year.

PIANO

BEN PICHLER

Ben is a classical and jazz-trained pianist of over 10 years. He has served as an assistant youth choral director, accompanist, guitarist, and singer. He’s a member of a handful of Duluth jazz and rock groups in the Twin Ports area including the Becktet, Lake City Smokin’ Section, Thomas Woytko trio, and his own trio, the Ben Pichler trio. In addition, he also plays with the Big Time Jazz Orchestra.

DRUMS

SAUL MYHRE

Saul is a former member of the Barnum High-school Jazz and Concert bands including participation in the UWS honor band during his high-school experience. He also plays with “Boss Mama and the Jebberhooch” featuring THE Boss Mama Colleen Myhre, his former high-school band director Jeff “Dr. G” Gilbertson, and a spicy mix of various Duluth area music community friends.

BASS

BELLA HANSON

Bella started playing music as a pianist at age 4, hopped on guitar around age 11, then started playing drums at 13. She picked up the bass along the way and is stoked to get creative on this instrument with Inga Entheos. She has been gigging around the Twin Ports since age 15 and has been an active musician since. A couple of her other groups include the Douglas County Mafia and Magic Bus.
